How to memorize easily?

The first time you learn a new word, you’d forget it almost immediately. But if you reviewed it again as you were about to forget it, each subsequent review would exponentially increase the staying power of the word.

To put it another way, if you could only remember the word for 5 seconds at first, reviewing it after those five seconds would boost your retention time to 25 seconds, then 2 minutes, 10 minutes, and so on. At this rate, the tenth review wouldn’t have to take place until about four months after the first…..

How to equalize deep cycle batteries

Recharging deep-cycle batteries with a charger using a constant voltage or a fixed charge algorithm can, over time, lead to a condition called stratification. Stratification occurs when the acid in the electrolyte separates from the water and settles to the bottom of the battery causing damage to the bottom area of the battery plates.

To prevent stratification, it’s important to regularly perform an equalizing procedure to your batteries.   Equalizing adds an extended charge at the end of the normal charging process necessary to  promote gassing of the electrolyte in order to “re-mix” the acid and water.
THE EQUALIZING PROCESS

The method used to properly equalize batteries is as easy as using a high-quality battery charger that features an automatic equalizing mode, or has the capability to extend or restart the charging process as needed. Follow these procedures to properly equalize charge your batteries.

Make Sure The Battery Is A Flooded Lead-Acid Type.

All Electrical Loads To The Battery Must Be Removed.

Connect Your Charger And Charge The Batteries Until The Charger Terminates A Normal Charge Cycle.

a.) If the charger is equipped with an automatic equalizing mode, make sure the charger is connected and powered up long enough to complete equalization.

b.) If the charger is not equipped with an automatic equalization mode, assure the charger completes a full, automatic charge, and then restart the charger by disconnecting AC power and reconnecting.  The charger should restart and extend the charge time by 1-3 hours

4.   Correct Equalizing Will Cause Gassing And Bubbling Of The Electrolyte.

5.   Take Specific Gravity Readings Every Hour.

6.   You Will Know That The Equalization Process Is Complete: When the specific gravity values no longer increase during the gassing stage.  If the charger terminates the charge automatically, before the hourly specific gravity readings are constant, restart the charger and continue the process until specific gravity readings are constant.

7.  Make Sure To Replace Any Water Lost During The Process.

Equalizing your deep-cycle batteries is a great way to extend battery life and lower operational costs over time. It will also help to remove a buildup of lead sulfate crystals on the battery’s plates, a condition called sulfation. This condition lowers the battery’s ability to take a full-charge and diminishes its full power. Equalizing is just one of several procedures you should be adding to your maintenance schedule every time you service the batteries.  This regular service, including watering, should be performed at least once a month, or more frequently during periods of heavy use.

wakeup parents

Assalamualaikum,

This has reeeally impressed me….

Years back, *poor illiterate  parents* produced

🔹Doctors,

🔹Engineers,

🔹 Scientists,

🔹 Accountants,

🔹 Lawyers,

🔹 Architects,

🔹 Professors..,  whom I will refer to as *Group ‘A’*.
These *Group ‘A’* Children struggled on their own after Primary 6 or Grade 12, to become notable personalities. Most of them

👉🏾trekked to school *barefooted*

👉🏾 went to farms

👉🏾fetched water and firewood

👉🏾cared for domesticated animals

👉🏾did some work including trading after school to survive.
Now Group ‘A’ ,who have now become Parents themselves are *producing  Group ‘B’  Children*

These group B children are

🔹pampered

🔹 helped in their homeworks or home assignments from nursery school through secondary schools to higher institutions.

🔹chauffeur driven to very expensive schools or are sent abroad to study.

🔹they can watch movies from morning till dawn after school.

🔹 they are treated like baby kings and queens.

🔹they don’t do any household chores.

🔹Food is put on the table for them,

🔹their plates are removed and washed by parents or house maids.

🔹They are given expensive cars and clothes,

🔹not forgetting *big pocket monies to be wasted* !!!.

🔹Their parents help them in doing their assignments.

🤔 In spite of all these, only few can *speak* or *write* correctly. 🙄
🤔Group ‘A’ Parents  cared for their own *parents* and *children*, Group ‘B’,their Children are still *struggling to find their feet at age 30+*.‼

🤔They find it difficult to do things on their own because they are used to being helped to think and doing things by Group ‘A’. So they can’t help themselves, their parents or the society. THEY ABANDON THEIR PARENTS IN THEIR BID TO ACQUIRE THE WORLD
😴 *Where do you belong*❓

🏮Reduce the pampering and the unnecessary help you offer your children.

🏮 Let your children *grow in wisdom, intelligence and strength*.

🏮Let them face the truth and the realities of life. Teach them to grow  to become *independent adults.* Teach them to

👉🏾fear God,

👉🏾respect  others and

👉🏾 develop confidence in themselves.

🤔Parents, discipline your children to become disciplined adults, *useful* and not *useless.*

Useful tips for Ramadan

Assalamualaikum wrwb, useful tips from Dr Imran Yusoff Ishak

💦💦THINGS TO BE AVOIDED DURING RAMADAAN💦💦

1. Don’t sleep during the day and pray all night. By doing this you are converting the day into night and the night into day, which is not the purpose of fasting.

2. Avoid being lazy and inactive during the day.

3. Don’t waste time playing games during the day. Rather, please Allah by increasing in your worship of him.

4. Avoid having Iftar parties. Ramadan wasn’t meant to be a food extravaganza.

5. Dont ask your wife to spend Ramadhan in the Kitchen. Eat something light and quick – she isn’t Biryani woman.

6. Spend the last 10 days worshipping Allah rather than trying to prepare for Eid! A day that is better than a thousand months is in these last 10 days. You can’t afford to miss this.

7. Dont stay awake the full night. Your body has a right over you, and when it wants rest, then rest.

8. Avoid excessive socialising after Taraweeh

9. Avoid shopping a lot in Ramadhan.

10. Dont eat the whole night.

11. Dont loiter around at night other than worshipping Allah.

12. Eid doesnt require loads of preparation. Dont fall into this trap! Keep it simple, and it will be blessed.

May we witness this forthcoming Ramadhan with sound health
Ameen.

♥ Common mistakes in Ramadhan:

1. Drinking
Milkshakes made with syrups etc on a daily basis

– Why: It contains high amounts of sugar, additives  and colourants
– Solution: If you have to, drink it twice a week maximum

2. Drinking large amounts of water at iftaar time

– Why: Filling the stomach with water is more strenuous to it than with food.
– Solution: have a few sips at iftaar then a glass after every two hours.

3. Exercising directly after iftaar.

– Why: the body’s blood flow is concentrated around the stomach at that time.
– Solution: Exercise after two hours of eating to ease digestion.

4. Chewing and swallowing food fast.

– Why: chewing food slowly can speed up digestion and help maintain your weight

5. Having dessert directly after iftaar

– Why: they make you drowsy and sleepy
– Solution: leave at least a two hour gap between iftaar and dessert to stay fresh and awake for ishaa and taraweeh prayers

6. Consuming foods with high amounts of sodium

– Why: Sodium triggers thirst through out the fasting hours of the day
– Solution: instead, eat foods that are high in potassium, they retain water and supress your thirst.

# Bananas are high in potassium. A banana at Suhoor time can control your thirst level through out the day.

# Best sources of potassium for Suhoor time:
– bananas
– milk
– dates
– avocados
– dried peaches
– pistachios
– pumpkin
– peas
– dark chocolate

# Worst choices for Suhoor:
– biryani
– kebab
– pizza
– fast food in general
– cheese
– haleem

# Best choices for Suhoor:
– potato
– rice
– dates
– whole grain bread
– banana

# Drinking lots of water at suhoor is important, but not as much as drinking it through out your non-fasting hours.

The Grave is calling……! Listen very carefully!
Oh son of Adam! I’m full of darkness so bring with you the light of Salaat.
